Experience Empty Bowl Hawaiʻi

Empty Bowl Hawai‘i is more than just an event. It’s a powerful, community-centered experience where art, food, and purpose come together to support food security and end hunger across the islands.

Upon arrival, guests are invited to select a one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl, handcrafted by local artists, students, and potters. This bowl serves as both a keepsake and a symbol—a tangible reminder that for too many in our communities, an empty bowl is a daily reality. With bowl in hand, guests can redeem tickets for a variety of delicious soups thoughtfully prepared by some of Hawai‘i’s most celebrated chefs, alongside other tasty bites. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of aloha, encouraging meaningful connection among guests.

Proceeds support Chef Huiʻs, #FeedthePeopleHI program. Originally established in 2020 in partnership with Aloha Harvest as a COVID-19 response, this initiative has become a cornerstone of the mission to address food insecurity while empowering families with the knowledge, ingredients, and confidence to incorporate more local, nutritious foods into their home cooking.

#FeedthePeopleHI transforms rescued ingredients, local produce, and pantry staples into simple-to-prepare, nutritious meals and meal kits with easy-to-follow recipes. These ready-to-eat, balanced meals complement other community food resources while reducing waste and creating lasting impacts on health, culture, and community resilience.

Join us for an unforgettable experience that blends creativity and community—one bowl at a time.
